NSU | BA in English
Department of English offers undergraduate programs that allow students to explore the world around them, appreciate human artistic expression, and cultivate their own literary and linguistic skills. The BA in English program is ideal for students seeking a broad humanities background with a focus on literature and language, as well as those planning to pursue graduate studies. It is specifically designed to provide a foundational course for prospective English language teachers at the secondary and tertiary levels. During their first two years, students can take interdisciplinary courses to gain a well-rounded general education. In their third year, students choose one or two of three specialized streams: Language (Linguistics), Literature, and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). This structure provides diverse options and equips students with essential skills in their chosen areas.
