UIU | BSS in Environment and Development Studies
The Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) in Environment and Development Studies (EDS) at United International University (UIU) focuses on the intersection of environmental sustainability and socio-economic development. General Requirements
Minimum qualification for admission in ‘BSS (Hons.) in Environment and Development Studies’ are:
Bangladeshi Students
- A minimum GPA of 2.5/2nd division/equivalent grade in SSC and HSC or equivalent public examinations. Students with GPA of 2.00 in any examination either SSC or HSC, however, must have a minimum GPA of 6.00 totalling GPA of both the examinations.
- The students, who are sons/daughters of freedom fighters, will be eligible for admission if they have a minimum GPA of 5.00 totaling the GPA of SSC and HSC Examinations.
- O-level students must have completed a minimum of 7 subjects, and A-level students must have completed 2 subjects. In both examinations, students must have an Average Grade Point of 4.00 (‘B’ Grade) in four subjects and 3.50 (‘C’ Grade) in 3 subjects.
- Acceptable score in UIU Admission Test.
- Admission Test is not required for GPA 5.00 holders in HSC/equivalent level of exams.
International Students
- Have successfully completed their higher secondary education (12 years of schooling)
- At least 50% marks or an equivalent grade of their own education system.
- O-level students must have completed a minimum of 7 subjects, and A-level students must have completed 2 subjects. In both examinations, students must have an Average Grade Point of 4.00 (‘B’ Grade) in four subjects and 3.50 (‘C’ Grade) in 3 subjects. If the applicant’s previous medium of instruction is not English, TOEFL/IELTS scores are required.
