International Standard University (ISU) | B.Sc. in Textile Engineering

The Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering (TE) program at Uttara University is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of textile production, processing, and engineering. The program covers key areas such as fiber science, yarn and fabric manufacturing, textile dyeing and finishing, garment technology, and textile machinery.

Students gain practical experience through laboratory sessions, internships, and industry projects, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world textile production environments. The curriculum also emphasizes sustainable textile practices, focusing on energy efficiency, waste reduction, and environmentally-friendly production processes.

Graduates of the BSc in Textile Engineering program are prepared for careers in the textile, apparel, and fashion industries. They can work in areas such as textile manufacturing, product development, quality control, and textile machinery design. The program equips students with the skills and expertise needed to meet the demands of the rapidly evolving global textile industry.

General Requirements

• Students obtaining a minimum CGPA of 2.5 or a second division in S.S.C and H.S.C can apply to the program.
• O-level and A-level students must have an average grade of ‘B’. Any further circulars from UGC will be updated in the system.
• Students with diploma degrees are also eligible to apply.
• A student with a minimum score of 1200 (with a minimum of 400 in verbal) on the SAT may be exempt from taking the Bachelor program admission test (written) administered by the University. However, all students must attend a personal interview as part of the admission requirements. Candidates will be selected for the interview based on their results in the admission test (written).
• An admission test will be required for undergraduate programs. The tests will be held in Dhaka as arranged by the University. The written admission tests for the undergraduate program will cover the following subjects:  English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry

• Total Fees: Tk 4,33,300 (Minimum ); Tk 6,58,100 (Maximum)
• Total Fees (For Diploma Holders): Tk 1,95,004 (Minimum): Tk 3,61,300 (Maximum)
