International Standard University (ISU) | Bachelor of Laws (LLB)

The Bachelor of Laws (LLB) program at Uttara University is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of law and the legal system. The program covers core areas of law, including constitutional law, criminal law, civil law, international law, contract law, and legal ethics. Students also engage with specialized subjects such as human rights, environmental law, and corporate law.

Through a combination of theoretical courses and practical training, including moot courts, legal research, and internships, the LLB program equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to practice law and pursue various legal careers. The curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, legal analysis, and effective communication, which are essential for success in the legal profession.

Graduates of the LLB program are prepared for careers as lawyers, judges, legal advisors, and legal officers in public and private sectors. General Requirements

• General Students: Students having a minimum GPA of 2.50 both in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) separately or a Combined GPA of 6.00 (Not less than 2.00 GPA in SSC or HSC) from any group may apply for admission.
• English Medium Students: Students completing GCE O-Levels and A-Levels: O-Levels in five subjects with a minimum Average Grade Point of 2.50 and A-Levels in two subjects with a minimum Average Grade Point of 2.00. Only one ‘E’ Grade is acceptable in A-Levels. (Scale A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2 & E=1).
• Foreign Students: Foreign students must have a minimum of 50% marks in grades 10 and 12 (they must have the equivalent certificate from the Ministry of Education).
• Freedom Fighter Quota: Students having a minimum GPA of 2.50 both in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) separately or a Combined GPA of 5.00 from any group may apply for admission.
