EWU | BSS in Sociology
The Bachelor of Social Sciences (BSS) in Sociology at East West University (EWU) offers a comprehensive exploration of social structures, human behavior, and the dynamics of social change. This program goes beyond simply studying societal trends; it delves into the underlying forces that shape our lives, from individual interactions to large-scale social institutions. Students develop a deep understanding of sociological theories, research methodologies, and the complex interplay of social, cultural, economic, and political factors that influence societies. The curriculum covers a broad range of sociological topics, including social stratification, inequality, globalization, social movements, and urban sociology, among others. Students are encouraged to think critically about social issues, analyze data, and conduct research, fostering their ability to understand and address real-world social problems. EWU’s BSS in Sociology aims to produce graduates who are not only knowledgeable about sociological concepts but also equipped with the analytical and research skills to contribute meaningfully to academic research, policy development, social work, and various other fields that require a nuanced understanding of society.
