UIU | B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering

The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at United International University (UIU) is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in electrical systems, electronics, and energy systems. The program covers a wide range of topics, including circuit theory, power systems, digital electronics, control systems, signal processing, and telecommunications.

UIU’s BS in EEE emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and practical applications through laboratory work, projects, and internships. Students gain hands-on experience in designing, analyzing, and implementing electrical and electronic systems. The program prepares graduates for careers in diverse industries, including energy, telecommunications, automation, electronics, and research and development. With a curriculum aligned to global standards, UIU ensures that EEE graduates are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the rapidly evolving field of electrical and electronic engineering.

Admission Requirements

• Every applicant, without any exception, must fulfill the admission requirements as laid down by UIU. Admission test and interview for admission into the first semester will be held thrice a year as decided by UIU. No interim or supplementary admission test or interview will be arranged.
• A higher secondary certificate or its equivalent in science with mathematics and physics or other fields of study is the basic educational requirement. However, students passing H.S.C from Arts or Commerce group may also apply provided they complete courses equivalent to 6 credit hours in Mathematics and Physics before they start their regular courses at UIU.

Admission Test

Applicants will be required to sit for an admission test designed to judge their abilities and aptitude for the program. The test will be held in Dhaka as arranged by UIU. The admission test will be held on the following three areas:

• Language and Communication
• Mathematics and Physics
• Analytical ability

To qualify in a written test an applicant is required to obtain a minimum mark in all the three sections separately.
