Uttara University | BA (Hons) in Bangla

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Bangla program at Uttara University offers students an in-depth exploration of Bengali language, literature, and culture. The curriculum covers classical and modern Bangla literature, poetry, linguistics, translation studies, and the history of Bengali language. Students are also introduced to critical theory and the social and cultural aspects of the Bengali-speaking world.

General Requirements

  • General Students: Students having a minimum GPA of 2.50 both in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) separately or a Combined GPA of 6.00 (Not less than 2.00 GPA in SSC or HSC) from any group may apply for admission.
  • Foreign Students: Foreign students must have a minimum of 50% marks in grades 10 and 12 (they must have the equivalent certificate from the Ministry of Education).
  • Freedom Fighter Quota: Students having a minimum GPA of 2.50 both in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) separately or a Combined GPA of 5.00 from any group may apply for admission.
